KLK has the knowledge and experience, backed by more than 30 years of market presence, to design and build all types of electrical power resistors.

The resistors are inserted in the electrical circuits to modify the conditions of work of:

Generators, motors and other receivers. Their operation is manifested in the form of heat energy, producing a temperature rise that will affect the components of the resistance itself and other equipment located nearby.

The maximum permissible temperature increase in the resistive material, insulation and air at the outlet of the resistor is regulated by different standards: NEMA, VDE, IEEE, etc.. or particular specifications of each project.

KLK designs and builds all types of electrical power resistors: Starting and stopping of motors, neutral grounding of transformers and generators, traction on railways, testbeds and harmonic filtering, meeting the applicable specifications and with optimum value for money.

When designing a new type of resistance or when agreed with the clients, type testing is carried out to verify compliance with contract specifications. Moreover, all resistors supplied are subject to the relevant series testing.
